- Take 1 tsp Chirongi
- Get for garnish
- Make ready 2 tbsp Pure ghee
- Get handful Makhana/ fox seed
- Prepare 10-12 Cashewnuts
Shahi Paneer is the most creamy paneer recipe that you can ever relish with naan or paratha. Originating from the royal kitchens, this Mughlai Shahi Paneer is prepared using a lot of curd or yoghurt and dry fruits, which mainly includes cashews and almonds. Shahi paneer is popular in the Indian restaurants & is made in several ways. Similar to the other mughlai foods, this shahi paneer is prepared with nuts, onions, spices & yogurt or cream.
Steps to make Shahi paneer masala:
- First of all we will make white masala paste. For which we have to grind all the ingredients and make a smooth paste by adding little water.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed wolk and add paneer cubes and southern it. Do not turn paneer golden. Dip the fried paneer in salty water. And keep aside
- Now in the same wolk add whole garam masala and then add ginger-garlic paste and saute it till raw smell is over. After that add onion paste and cook for 2 mins on high flame.
- After that add spices and stirr it continuously for 2 mins and then add green pea and 1/2 cup of water to it. Close the lid and cook till pea is tendered.
- After checking the pea has tendered and raw smell of onion has gone and oil has started separating add White masala paste and garam masala powder to it and cook for 2 mins and add paneer to it.
- After 2 mins add mava and fresh cream to it and again cook for 2 mins. Put off the flame.
- Now for garnish. Add ghee in a pan and add fox nuts and kaju to it. Fry till golden. Put it in paneer.
- Shahi paneer masala is ready to serve. Serve hot with naan.
