The ingredients needed to make Roasted Makhane:
- Make ready 100 gm Makhana/ fox nut
- Take Pinch Haldi/turmeric powder
- Take to taste Salt
- Take 2 tsp oil
Let the makhana roast till it becomes light brown in colour and crispier. Once done, turn off the flame and let it cool. Once cool enough, add the roasted makhana in a grinder jar and grind half of them coarsely. You can keep half of the roasted makhana aside for later usage.
Steps to make Roasted Makhane:
- Take pouch of makhane
- Take a pan, add oil, Haldi and salt
- Add makhane and roast 5 minutes
- Ready to serve hot
Once cool enough, add the roasted makhana in a grinder jar and grind half of them coarsely. You can keep half of the roasted makhana aside for later usage. Finely chop the onion, tomato and coriander leaves. In a pan add oil and add red chili powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, roasted jeera powder and amchoor powder. Give it a quick mix and immediately add the phool makhana.
